    Funny you mention That Rob, the misses said there was a Mardi Grah on at Maffra
the other day so i pipes up and asks "is it like the Melbourne Sausage fest" coz i aint goin

me and the missus are keen again, just got to figure out a lease and time frame.
may get a chance on this place in que i visited last trip. i will call the fellow and see what he thinks. the lease is located up near stake hill. if anyone has any other suggestions let us know. there was a vote on the location somewhere. maybe some ideas will get the ball rolling.
the last muster was really worth the effort guys, its the people you know more than what you know in this game, especially for the newbies like us

ok we are getting interest

I received one suggestion about camping at Niagra dam and detecting the ground around there. there are heaps of blue EL;s and free ground close by with lots of old mines and shafts, and good historic area and serviced camp grounds with dam full of water from what I hear. thinking of same time as last year to give plenty of time to plan late August to early September. last year between a group of 6 we found good gold around there in a few days stay and there are still patches to be found.

ok time to start a list of definite attendants. based on last year and if we camp at Niagra then numbers are not such an issue plus if you have some where you want to go and need a 40E then this is your responsibility, please get the permits in plenty of time allow 3 weeks minimum prior to muster. there are a couple of pastoral leases around there, Morapoi and Melita please check for dogs and access although I will contact them both and inform them of whats happening prior to muster.
so now whats everyone thoughts,
I will wait now to see what interest there is and establish a list
4 or 5 so far including Phil +?, Dean and poss partner and me and the missus

ok seems like interested people like Niagra Dam as the camp, so unless anyone disagrees then thats the plan, you can all venture out from there on any 40E's you get or there is lots of free ground with old mines out south east to explore, Geo maps show good ground, plenty of pending EL's but make sure we all have up to date tenegraph info, maps from the mines depn are cheap and up to date. the location is in a Nature reserve so I believe no dogs.
Dates need to be discussed so suggestions welcome else last week of August works for us, nice weather for detecting.
