First topic message reminder :

hi all, we have been getting a few enquiries for the 2015 muster, thinking of sandstone this year and due to the poor attendance to Niagara muster 2014 we will be keeping it simple with no fees and consequently no BBQ or prizes awarded. just a get together of as many of us that are keen. post any suggestions on dates ETC and we can start the process of getting leaseholders info for 40E's and/or permissions as required.
cheers
martin

good to hear the approvals are being processed. i have heard that a lot of prospectors without permission are being kicked off the quinns area again so they are on the ball. its looking like we will get around 12 or so attending this year so it will be a great trip and we are looking forward to catching up with everyone.
cheers

unfortunately i cannot attend again due to work, i will be getting a week off between jobs but that week is starting the 20th July.
bloody shame i don't get to meet those attending this year but on the bright side i'm still able to get out for a swing in a couple weeks for a few days
good luck all, looking forward to some great story's and pics

ok making a list so far we have
old dragon X2
big gem X2
moneybox X2
bignuggs X1
martinjsto X2
so thats 9 members attending ATM, great stuff. still a few weeks to go so plenty of time for anyone else to get their permissions sorted.
also Nova energy, Sunrise minerals, Cue minerals and Nearology have EL's around Quinns and would be well worth the 40E and exploring.

to ensure we all are able to contact each other when out there or travelling I suggest that all with a UHF be on channel 18, i am fitting one ATM just waiting for a aerial plug so I should be ready and contactable for the muster incase anyone needs pulling out if it gets wet or cannot find us.
cheers

How many 7000 owners will be there. It'll be interesting to hear your views on the machine and see how it operates.

Hi Martin and forum members, we are in Cue at present. Can you suggest a route for us to take to get to Quinns camp site bearing in mind we have a Trakmaster off-road caravan. Cheers Bob

I did that trip a month or so ago, and the quickest way is to go north on the great northern and then cut across the Pollele Rd. It is mainly on the bitumen. I did also try the Cogla / Taincrow road which is all dirt and it took twice as long.

Is this the road that turns off east just north of Nannine?

yes it is. Don't be fooled, going along the Cogla / Taincrow road is actually longer.

Thanks for that. We're not looking for a short path. We'll be in 2WD and travelling alone so hopefully the tracks won't be too sandy.

Still waiting for our aproval to come back. On the 7000 we have been comparing it to our 4500 and am really impressed with it, especially on deep gold. It tries my health out, thats for sure. Really need a mechanical digger for the deep stuff. TG

Hi TG, I am finding the 7000 very good on small gold but toKate, no deep gold. Are you using any special setting? Cheers Bob

Yep, using the "ferret". Finding extremely small pieces, yesterday, 5 pieces total weight 1gram so tomorrow, we are going to an area with different ground, hopefully, find something bigger pieces. Cheers Bob
