The scrubber/trommel on the tailer looks the part--something that i'm chasing to hopefully breakdown the clay balls prior to dry blowing.

Re: Mining Equipment
Pic 5. I'm no expert but looking at the setup with the pullies and it looks like cylindrical units inside, maybe it's a big sieve or sizing outfit.
it also looks like poly pipe near the pullies, could also be a washer of some sort or maybe it's for electrical wiring.

Re: Mining Equipment
The big trommel is actually a dry blower. The fans were mounted on it to blow the dust away. Not sure if old Chas ever got it going before he passed. Cliff I think that is a magnetic separator.
Ray give me a call. Back from the desert crossings. 3 deserts in all.

Pic 1 Amalgam barrel
Pic 2 Gold wheel
Pic 3 Jaw crusher
Pic 4 This is a sort of combo ball mill/trommel/amalgam barrel/jig Always had me puzzled exactly what this was.
Pic 5 Magnetic seperator
Pic 6 Fans that were used on the dry blower to direct the dust away
Pic 7 Dry blower.

Re: Mining Equipment
Hi All,
Cliff, the black tubing is actually wiring to each plate, I think it might be an electrostatic separator, pretty high tech for a small operator, but how it seperates the gold I don't know

Re: Mining Equipment
MAYBE AN ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR to attract the black sand away from the gold.
We used the gold cube with great effect--its a bit fiddly but does the job.
even a gold wheel will do the job but be carefull as its not as good in my opinion.
But if u had all this gear lying around u wouldnt be complaining.
its a pity its just sitting there in the weather.

Re: Mining Equipment
Hi Cliff,
So I'm coloured blind, the black was the fan belts
At least we know what the machinery is so thanks Pilbaragold
It's no wonder that there is no gold left to pick, with all that gear being used at one time or another, one thing I didn't get a picture of was the sluice set up, that was something to behold
It consisted of a rock breaking shute into two sets of tromels or one was a ball mill and into a wet sluice that ran down the hill and a dam to go with it, all perched up on a big hill, very impressive setup....but
There's no gold left, at least I couldn't find any...the strange thing about the place is that NO sources were found, quite a few patches lead straight up to a white quartz blow but were not dug out at all and one patch was skimmed to death over that yellow and purple rock with crossing black veines all thru it, still no trenches or holes
Obviously a lot of gold was taken in recent and past times but it eventually runs out, in my opinion not worth a trip in for the gold, but absolutely loved seeing the setup...amazing

I would doubt it's for sale, most of it looks in working condition. Neatly stacked, new water cubes, trucks and loader, looks like they plan on using it to me.
If it is for sale I'd be keen on having a yarn to them about it. I need an amalgam barrel and the jaw crusher.

Hey pilbaragold, do you know the owner mate? I'm not far from Judges find, might pop out and have a yarn to him about it.
