Re: FORUM MUSTER 2013
Whoa there, Trigger!!
I don't want to upset Ray or Cliff by starting a "sales drive" on here. At present I'm only thinking about it - and the downside therein. I'm not desperate for the money involved but I do enjoy helping people and getting out there. Would you believe I'm not that crazy about detecting any more these days!!! But I do need a reason to get out there.
Next thing - it won't be this season as it's getting too warm and it's too late to be organising anything now. Besides that, my wife keeps leaving this roll of toilet paper near my breakfast plate with all the jobs on it that need doing around the old homestead! So it'll be next year if anything.
More soon after I speak with Cliff, Ray and my wife - but not in that order!!

Cat, we don't mind if you want to start a tour business but it has to be placed in the correct "Topic" section.
This thread is for comments or pics & vids of the muster.
cheers

Cliff,
I know, that's why I put a stop to it - for this year anyway.

Re: FORUM MUSTER 2013
Hi everyone, got back Monday night from the muster! A huge thank you to Cliff for organising the gathering. We met an awesome bunch of people and found a few bits of gold unfortunately none were found on the muster leases. After leaving the muster we spent a few days with friends on the way home and found nice gold, the largest piece for the trip was 14 grams total gold 34 grams we were very pleased with this for such a short amount of time swinging the detectors. Found it hard to come home so have arranged for time off in October to once again go swinging.

Re: FORUM MUSTER 2013
34g is a good result Chris and June with a 14 gramer too boot, its good when you have a bit of luck on the way home. I found the going on the lease tough and after leaving you lot at leonora, we found some free good looking ground and stayed for a night and picked up 8 little bits, smallest being 0.07g. I think it was a good decision to get out on Friday judging by the rain that was around and gold that wasnt, lol for me anyway, shows i still have a lot to learn. it will be good to catch up again soon,
keep well guys

Re: FORUM MUSTER 2013
it was getting long winded anyway and was generally about the buildup to the muster, this is about the post muster finds and stories etc and maybe next years muster idea's.
I wonder how Jase and Colin, (if you are still out there buddy), are doing with all this rain. hopefully they are finding new ground washed clean and eroded of a few inches of topsoil.

Re: FORUM MUSTER 2013
Hi Craig,
we always have to keep an eye on storage space and it was a long thread which I considered was no longer needed.
It will happen again next year so look out for the start of the 2014 Muster. I think it will be even longer.
Cheers

I got a text message from Jase last Saturday. Col and Jase are still out there chasing the dream. Hope they find it.

Re: FORUM MUSTER 2013
Jase didn't say where they were and I didn't ask. Where ever it is, it sounds ok. Jase had also offered to chase up some lease holders for next years muster.Jack-Tar wrote:Where are they at Cliff?
He'll let me know how it goes.

Re: FORUM MUSTER 2013
its has been nice on some days but it depends on where you are Cat.
we were south east of Leo and boy you should of seen the rain and we missed the worst of it, had a river running through the camp and under the van. we were advised to head back west as the roads south were flooded. the roads east in places was wet and slippery and we had a crossing to tackle but there was also dry dusty areas where it looked like no rain had fallen. it cleared the next morning and dried out quickly where we were so we got out.
current forecast rain on and off then warming up then possible showers again on Sunday.

we might get a chance to get out again around mid October, maybe catch up with Jase and Colin for a few days. heres hoping.
some pics of the pieces we found.
