Nude Nuggets--amazing

its amazing how many people I come across that have never see raw gold nuggets
straight out of the ground...this includes some GEO's I came across at the Whim Creek hotel a few years ago...
Everyone is amazed..
Even people buying new tectors from me haven't seen what they are trying to find..

True. Some will eventually see it and some won't. Now are you sure the gold wasn't coming out of a can at the Whim Creek Pub :rolf:

I've had many a happy night or Easter weekend there and the stories were so thick with bullsh*t you could cut it with a knife :rolf:

That was the best watering hole tween Hedland & Roebourne, what the hell are they doin up there

maybe a good business venture for some sober prospectors to start up again.

Sober Prospectors ? do they exist but when you look at the good roadhouses they closed down it would be a total waste of money.

Whim Crk. pub closed, how smart is that.
We had a few cold ones there at the end of May last year.

Travelling SW, the problem was we had run out of Chatau Cardboard and thinking Hedland was the go came up sadly wrong!

The only place to achieve our requirements was Karratha so after stocking up with 40l. (ok, only 10x4l), then finding all the van parks full we made camp out at Hearsons Cove.

Of course we picked the afternoon the rager (ranger) visited............
There was some discussion, there were a group of local ingenious camped there also.

The ranger made a sensible decision and next day we were on our way to Newman.

Sad to think that great old pub is closed.

yep a pity got a few coldies in befor it closed, the pub is run as part of the minesite which has been mothballed for now. definatelty a peice of pilbara history out of action for now
