We spent a bit of time up around Mertondale and the previous guys (i have a feeling it was some of ours) left open dig holes everywhere. If we leave a mess we only expect to get locked out.

still tho any simple wally can hang a sign , always have your tenement maps ,gps & know where you are ,there are too many clever dicks out there that can trick ya , stand your ground if that's the case .seen that behaviour too many times & if you get harassed & they are interfering with you going about you legal business whether it be dckhead cockies , blokes that assume ownership when they don't ,or whatever , stick to you guns ... only jokin

but illegal and all u have to do is report it to the mines inspectors and they will tidy up the situation.

I have just returned from a jolly in Qld and my nephew told me that the police in Hervey Bay are on the lookout for people with metal detectors. Apparently some tourists with treasure hunters have been digging up the parks and leaving big holes, and also ruining the watering systems.

Was only a short jolly with no detecting this time. Next year will be a different story.......

You have to walk about 50m of the track just to read this and then you are trespassing, apparently. Just south of Wilpena Pound.
