Any day traders out there shorting gold

Do a few trades meself , im with ig markets , shorting the gold price from say 6 months ago till now would have payed a zillion if you hung in ... oz dollar as well . not all doom and gloom , make some bucks when it heads south ... $6000 this week, just sayin.... albo.

I think the best way to own gold is to , have access to it, actually be able to see it, hold it, and own it...find it.If you own gold on paper it has less value, because there is more gold sold on paper than what is stored in the whole world by hundreds of times. World gold reserves are more than stretched for physical supply and people are waiting for months to receive their gold,,,or are driven to taking the cash as an alternative...quite simply I mean,i believe the value of our efforts as prospectors is about to become extremely more enjoyable.
And im off back up the Gfeilds this weekend.

Hi Albo, I use to trade everyday back in the late 90's, came a bit of an addiction as I made some good dollars. mostly small gold companies less than 10c, buy in 100k lots and sometimes day trade them, rarely held them for more than a few weeks, always looked for cheap fast movers that had high volumes. traded Kimberly diamond stocks when they were only 17c, sold for 43c when they hit $1 plus. always hard to tell when to stay in or exit. lost a few too, one gold company I put 10k into re vamped itself as a medical monitoring company, lost 3k on that one. tricky game but money to be made. I still follow some stocks, should invest as they trade 40c up and down extremely predictably with good quantities. never tried shorting any, it has huge potential for gains but also risky business like all share trading. someone has to lose money for the next person to make money.

Hi guys, there's a good resource called Khan Academy which has videos talking about the different trading strategies. It's a general over view But interesting. There is stuff on currency manipulation as well. Great website for teaching maths too. Definitely worth a look. The guy who set it up is an ex merchant banker now he does only good work providing free education. Google gave him a few million cause he does a good job.

Can be addictive ,its like having a casino in the lounge room , mixing kennys on the cornflakes & shorting gold in  n out trades is quite a juggle at the wee hours close of US trade ... but when the wins come up even the neighboors can hear me blowing happy bubbles at 4 am !
