First topic message reminder :

have read reports of prospectors getting bogged on their way to their prospecting areas let alone trying to get out..

Usually find if u allow 3-4 days of fine windy weather u can usually get out without stuffing up the gravel roads all that much...

if u r heading into a station to carryout a bit of prospecting then notify the station owner and get the low down on the conditions of his roads and tracks and how much rain they have had.

Stay safe--hate to read a report of prospectors perishing due to flooding--stay on high ground and away from creeks..

Stuff me--its still raining--started Sunday arvo and hasn't stopped right through to Tuesday morning--haven't seen so much rain for god knows how long...

Couple of mates who headed down towards the Ashburton have made a desperate attempt to quickly turn around after they got to where they were going due to the rain continually pouring down..and turning the place into a muddy swamp..he reckons he would have been stuck there for at least 6 weeks..

So next time ya mate tells u its going to rain for 3-5 days maybe check out the long range forecast for yourself..to b sure...

we must be heading to 5" of rain..

Rained yesterday and most of last night in Cue but the gravel roads and tracks are still open. We went to Mt Magnet today to the DMP and had a few light showers on the way but nothing major. Hopefully we can go for a swing tomorrow back in Cue.

Hi oneday. I am at Cape Keraudren near Pardoo waiting for things to dry out. Road to Marble Bar was closed yesterday and the highway near Port Headland (135 mm rain) was also cut yesterday.  Sun is out today but two-three days of rain is predicted Sat, Sun & Mon.

I hope to be around Marble Bar area in about a week.  Will you still be in area?

Annie
