Wet weather--stay put
have read reports of prospectors getting bogged on their way to their prospecting areas let alone trying to get out..
Usually find if u allow 3-4 days of fine windy weather u can usually get out without stuffing up the gravel roads all that much...
if u r heading into a station to carryout a bit of prospecting then notify the station owner and get the low down on the conditions of his roads and tracks and how much rain they have had.
Stay safe--hate to read a report of prospectors perishing due to flooding--stay on high ground and away from creeks..

Geez I feel sorry for you OLD GUYS
A bit of cold and ya joints start playing up and a bit of rain stops ya's from walkin and swinging
so I guess it's a cuppa tea and some knitting for ya's make sure you don't drop any stitches coz ya gotta try and bend down to pick them up
Glad I'm young

hey snapper , im 53 years old , one dicky knee had the ripped cartilage operation 20 years ago , still up n down long gold mill stairs , counted once, 1000 per day with a 20 kg tool bag & bits & the best relief from kneemonia is emu oil , true story works a treat, not a permanent cure ,but good for day to day &when you get to our age buddy every days a bonus albo.

Re: Wet weather--stay put
USE TO MAKE AND SELL emu oil--those were the days--still got some old but good.
At least we r seeing some blue sky at the moment--
Marble bar to Nullagine road closed to ALL traffic due to flood damage..

Re: Wet weather--stay put
Seems a bit funny the amount of rain weve had over the last month or so- pretty unusual for this time of year up here (based on my last couple years here). Anyway the rains back with a vengeance today again in Hedland.
How did you do down in Marble Bar K-town????
