man that is awesome finds from around scrapes. Did you just detect the soil that the blades of the grader had pushed up .

G,day Big Chop, i walk out to the edge of the scapes and detect around the trees where the machinery cant get close to and then also detect just outside the scaped area, even though others had been here before me alot of gold still gets missed, the 2 larger nuggets were down in the calcrete about 8" to 10" down, i used the 24x12 nf coil but i might put the 14" solid round on when i go back as i think the bigger coil can miss some of the littlies Stu

I know how ya feel Rick, around Laverton at the moment is very quiet with number of prospectors but it seems those that are here are doin pretty good gettin a few everyday and the occasional biggin, g,day Kev, yep ya can easily see the scapes on google earth, Stu

I'm no expert, but I only found small gold in the Lavo area and I have never heard of anyone finding the big bits. I'm quiet sure it's there, just find it.
