Quiet in the Forum Lately

It's been a bit quiet lately and I wonder why maybe everyones out finding GOLD
Or maybe we are spending our time researching areas for our next outing
I can't speak for anyone else but I've certainly been trolling and annoying someone with questions Ya gotta learn about areas you haven't been to.

Research research research and gettin a bit as well, gold that is.

Found some good info last few days from diggin into CWA "Country womens association" archives,
turns out they used to do tea and sugar drives for the hard up diggers in the depression years
and they have some good info on 1930's rushes and areas, funny where the info can come from.

Also look up Geo Cashing websites, funny buggers who like to run around with just a GPS lookin for lunchboxes
with trinkets in em, but they get into some far off places and find old lost diggings..

Another one is the Royal automobile associations, they used to do group runs out to old patches for the hell of it
just like today's 4wd clubs do.

just waitin for my generator to be put back together by local mechanic as it stoped working when i was out bush, the mechanic found a screw [see below] embeded in the top of the piston but no damage except for a small dent in the top of the piston, then thursday heading out bush for a week or two, might see if cliffs girl outside the laverton pub wants to come too, NOT

Hey Pete:
Pretty much just research for going up to the cooler areas of Az.
Its toooooo hot in the desert and wont cool off until around late Sept.
Suppose to be 108F today.
Pops and I should be going up north for a day trip in a couple of weeks.
Dad found one of those Geocache things when we were out detecting one time. We couldnt figure it out until someone told us what it was. Doh!

Not much different here. Going out every two days or so. Wifey pulled a nice 3.5 grammer yesty. Nearest digging are 300 metres away. Hopefully back again today weather permitting.
I'm rebuilding a motor for the zuke. I want a spare on the shelf because the motor in it now is starting to get a bit tired.

These 2 oldies from the East are camped on a 20a in a bit of scrub SE of Laverton.
Beaut open camp spot, catches the sun in the morning, plenty of good firewood (cool evenings,eh).

The best bit is since arriving here on Thursday is there are now 18 nice little nugs rattling around in the jar.
All from within around 75m. of the camp, going over the area with a fine tooth comb!

For a couple of newbies we are bloody stoked

Seeing it is quiet at the moment, thought I'd play with my balls
I always play with them a few weeks before I get the chance to do some detecting. It's good exercise for the arm and shoulder muscles, just squeeze ya balls hard :rolf:
