Prospectors Meeting Geraldton
For those in the area that are not already aware, there will be a prospectors meeting held between 2 and 5pm on Tuesday 22nd March in Geraldton.
Reps from Minelab, Garmin, DMP and APLA will be present as well as the local agent. You will need to notify of your attendance before the date so that appropriate seating etc. can be put in place.
If you require further details, PM me.

Re: Prospectors Meeting Geraldton
Good turnout with I'm guessing over 100 people present. The presentations were pretty general stuff but with some interesting answers from the Minelab representative. The idea of forming a Geraldton Branch of APLA or at least a Midwest Detecting Club was floated and I think will be followed up with a mass email to all that attended.
Congrats to those who won the door prizes. A 12" Nugget Finder Evolution and a Minelab GoFind detector.
Interesting that Minelab are recalling all GPZ7000's that are sitting in stock at agents, in order to satisfy demand at other outlets. A World wide shortage of stock and an inability to keep up with demand so we're told.

The Minelab dealer at the APLA meeting in Capel told us that there's a new gold rush in Africa and Minelab is sending 7000's, 5000's and 4500's so the second hand market should soar as a result.

These sort of sites make it really hard for the local dealers. We all like to pay less but we still want local service for advice or if anything goes wrong.

I'm not sure you could buy one from there Phil. Surely Minelab have some sort of arrangement with them. And ofcourse you would have the freight component and duty I suppose.
Has anyone tried?
