Battery Voltage ? Empty Battery Voltage ?

What voltage reading do you get with a multimeter when checking the GPX Li-ion battery after it has been fully charged as my 5000 says 8.0v on its battery screen however my multimeter only reads 7.72v ?

Use a higher scale on your multimeter and it should read 8v. The meter in the detector is just a guide...not all that well calibrated, and the 4500 and 55k share the same highest reading 8v+ th e4k reads the rest of the digits. 8.4v ect.

Thanks Narrawa but not sure what you are referring too above as the DCV section on my multimeter is number with 4 markings numbered as 2 , 20, 200 and 600. When checking battery voltages I switch the dial to the 20 mark which displays 0.00 on the multimeter's digital screen.

Flick it to the 200 scale. Or.....try this.
There are two readings from the battery when testing it....the real voltage i believe is the higher of the two...probe the pins till you find another reading.
