Bush Tucker Recipe's - whats yours

We all like to chow down after a big day swingin the Tecta, do you have any good recipe's that are
easy to make, no fuss or even better NO DISHES after.

Pete's Bush Johny Cakes

500 grams self raising flour
12 Tinnies of full strength beer (1 for the recipe,11 for cooky)
3 lge tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
1 Egg
1/2 Packet of french onion soup

Mix all the ingredients into a firm Damper like Dough
Heat up non greased BBQ plate
break off small golf ball size bits of dough and roll
then flatten into small 1cm thick johny cakes.
We are gonna bake em not incinerate em so a low heat
on the plate is needed.

Great snacks and pocket food while out swingin.
For a change throw in a handful of mixed dried fruit and leave out the soup n cheese.

LUNCH- SARDINES AND A COUPLE OF DRY BISCUITS
TEA--CAN BAKED BEANS-straight onto the fire - cook for couple of minutes stir frequently --POUR ONTO 4 SLICES OF WHITE BREAD --TOASTED--NO BUTTER--on a health kick

Tostie pies / jaffles

white toast bread buttered on the outside
fill with whatever - bake beans, chopchop chicken, stew
and the secret - double cheese

throw the whole lot in the fire for a few mins (half a can) each side and chow down!!!

Snags, steak, chops, chicken. I gotta say this. I know there is a lot of talk about which fridge is best but here's a hint for the worse case scenario.
Pre cook the meat and freeze it. That way you only have to reheat it.
I got caught once with frozen uncooked chicken and the fridge wasn't working to well. I paid the penalty and dug more holes than I should have.

I Reckon small goat rear legs wrapped in cabbage leaves in foil with sweet chilli sauce & buried with coals for 1.5 hrs is hard to beat.

I hear, that a lot of pastoral stations have stopped running sheep or cattle due to the wild dog problem. where did I get that info from , the Pastoral & Graziers Association.
They were surprised when I told them about the wild goats running everywhere and they are everywhere. but you need permission to shoot.

Yes they were listed as feral once & some station people make a living from them now. Depends i guess on the relationship you have with them & ask if you can snooker 1 & 2 when you call in. albo.

They seem to be making more money out of goats, shipped live to the middle east.

Yes Bignuggs heard that. About the dogs, there' moving in accross to north of Muleewa now . One time i pulled up on my quad north of Doolgunna near my leases & 6 german shephard size dingo/ dogs surrounded me whilst detecting. Lucky i did have the quad bike that day & i didnt have a 2 km walk back to camp.... they were excited. albo.

Aldo--in your situation I would have a 9mm strapped to my leg just in case--everytime I went out..
Maybe inform the APB and get them to bait the area out there.

Yes oneday 69 i was more frightened that day than the off night occurance i had with a cranky mouri night club bouncer once. .. 9mm , how about the 308.
