Any thoughts on this kinda ground

Hi Guys

Anyone have any idea about this kind of ground and what the rocks are? Its close to some likely looking geo but dont know if this rock is anything special. I guess its what u call breakaway.

Reckon its worth a poke around? Its close to some low lying lake areas.

Could be off target here but i think it looks like "Pisolitic ironstone formation" we get a lot of
it coating the range east of perth.

As to gold content, i know the stuff in the Perth hills is Barron of gold but is mined for bauxite.

Thanks Pete. Yeh the area is around southern cross. I just saw the outcrop and didnt have time to detect on it.

Just wondered what all those colours were and if anyone had luck with this kind of ground.

Will just have to give it a go when I pass through there next.

maybe pan a couple of creeks or wash outs in the area--no color no gold
