Dual Speakers
Hi All
Thinking of going to a Dual Speaker system for this season
Is any one using them and if so is there any advantage
Can you make your own
Regards

Peaky mate
Dual speakers mounted on your harness shoulder area is the goer
When the breeze is really strong, sometimes I plug in the headphones, the booster is a great addition also

Re: Dual Speakers
Hi peaky.
I run dual speakers and they definitely have an advantage over a single. They are available already wired together to one plug, or if your handy with a soldering iron , easy to do yourself. I have mine connected in series making the total resistance 16 ohms . It works well on my 5000. . I dont use an auxilary booster , as i find the one in the 5000;s battery is ok with the target volume at 13 to 16 depending on wind etc .
Cheers, jim

Re: Dual Speakers
Have used the dual external speakers high up on each shoulder for years. Also I find if you wear a broad rimmed hat it reflects the signal. We have a port on one speaker to plug the second one into so you can separate the two while donning and removing the harness. Our speakers are wired in parallel though, not series and we use a B&Z booster with our 45's.

Re: Dual Speakers
How about a rooster booster, I use this on the 5000 and find it to be excellent at those small targets

I like the way you have the Camel pack mounted
How did you do that

Re: Dual Speakers
Peaky,
Cut away most of the 1.5L Camelback harness and sewed loops to the Minelab harness. (the yellow bits in pics)
They are well used now, they were new in pics, not sure when the 45 was released?
We flush the bags at end of each season with water purifier from Camec.
The pick attachment I have been using since the 2100 was first released, that and the centre loops for the bungy makes the 20"mono a breeze to swing all day.
See so many lugging a huge pick around all day balanced on their shoulder and the average dig is 100mm or so. Back to the truck when the big artillery is required to dig the odd deep hole.
Have read owners of the Z are having problems combining the use of this machine and carrying their pick.
Cheers

Peter
I notice you use the BZ Booster
Do you think this is a advantage on the 4500

Re: Dual Speakers
Definitely a big help when there is a very slight dip in the threshold. If you turn the B&Z off the signal would be missed.
Would prefer to find heavier targets but they add to the tally. Not uncommon to find 0.1's with the 11" Commander.
Cheers
