two bob book on Ktown

seems that a few people have brought the book on ktown gold coz there are a lot of tourists at spots that they normally wouldn't go to let alone get a 40e for..

all good so long as u r filling in yah holes--  

At least the other areas that have produced good gold never got a mention--some times it pays to b a local..

from all reports quiet a few people have picked up a rattle or 3.

Some have even takin the 2300 for a run and found gold--good to see.

Yeah not a bad book. Come to a new area and at least it puts you in the area where your likely to meet up with some locals. And, if your lucky, they may point you in the right direction.

The book was just released as were leaving called Karratha Gold by Paul Von Zorich. We never bought it but we have his book on the Murchison goldfields and it includes a lot of very detailed mud maps but unfortunately no GPS coordinates.

the mines dept inspectors are up in the area so make sure u have your 40e in place and u only get 1 warning from them..

A few people have been ordered off certain areas--to b polite.

Karratha Gold does have GPS co-ords in it and that makes it easy to check Tengraph to make sure your on the right side of the line. Going just by the mudmaps, as far as your location is concerned, is a bit iffy.
Remember, you take gold off someone's mining/prospecting lease, it amounts to stealing.

very good book certainly put ktown on map. past a few outoftowners during the week had a few yarns all doin well scratchin.Did extra well myself ya got to love the bush!
 

mmm just as well I didn't share all my secrets--coz all the vacuum cleaners would be out there ..
