On the 45 and the 5 u have Inverted or Normal. On the 48 u only have Normal
what do these signals do--well not a big deal--so if u run in Normal and u normally run inverted well u wont need to find the nearest tree to top yahself..

it is a method of reversing the way u hearn the initial target

on normal when u hit a small target the response will rise then drop on most small targets. big targets it falls then rises.

on Inverted when u hit a target the response hits u in the other direction

so at the end of the day it all comes down to your hearing..
also have a test piece with u to give yahself every chase to familiarise with the difference.

So personally there no disadvantage to the 48.
its a personal setting.

regards
oneday

Howdy Ray & just to confuse things on the older ones, 3500 etc ,a deep larger specie gives the opposite ,an inverted sound compared to a solid nuggie which goes the other way .
