Re: 4.4KVA NEW GENERATOR
I saw one of these running at the local caravan & camping shows. Very unstable with the revs fluctuating while under load running 2X1000W heat lamps. The light was flickering.
BTW all generators are sine-wave. As for being pure...yes, this one was pure...pure rubbish in my opinion. But i can see why folks falter given the price.
You get what you pay for, and i know a forum member who got what he payed for by buying one.
Iv also been tempted by the gadgetry they have compared to the more expensive brands. Remote start/stop, digital volt gauges, fuel gauges ect.
I bought the Honda and use it like i stole it.

Re: 4.4KVA NEW GENERATOR
You will ALWAYS get what you pay for.
All these cheap generators/firefighting pumps/motors are all either made in China or India.
THEY ARE RUBBISH!!!
Your life and those of your loved ones may one day depend on these items so why would you buy crap?
Read this Ray.

Robert (who would ban every Chinese/Indian import)

Re: 4.4KVA NEW GENERATOR
I run a 2kva Honda as little as possible. It's just a annoying having to carry petrol when you drive a diesel vehicle.

Advertised as an inverter generator then goes on to say in description "It will run fridge, telly and ALL sensitive items with Crisp Pure Sine Wave Power."
Thought about buying a Kipor ONCE, they couldn't get a brand new one started, salesman babbled on about crook fuel, sent the boy out for a can of fresh petrol, still wouldn't start.
Got in the truck and drove to the Honda shop and bought a 3KVA.

Narrawa --I suppose I'm lucky
I have a very good mechanic working for me ---just in case it sh#ts itself.
Hopefully she'll b OK.
I have a 30' caravan with 3 air cons on-board so will put it through its paces.
So long as she runs 2 aircons at night she'll b all good.
12 months warrantee helps.
Cyclone season coming up again and only god knows whats install for the region--either way I have enough generating power for at least 5 houses.

Re: 4.4KVA NEW GENERATOR
GEEZ AFTER 4 WEEKS I FINALLY GOT THE GENY.
time to chuck a bit of oil in the machine and top up with a bit of juice and see what happens.
After a few minutes will load it up and see if she can go the distance.
it certainly wont blow over in a gale...heavy enough.

Re: 4.4KVA NEW GENERATOR
Hi Oneday,
We have the red model(goes faster everdently) and first up out of the packet the fuel line was severed and leaking fuel all over the ground, lucky it didn't arc up
Many hours running now and using a rope pully to lift out of trayback all that has gone wrong is the key starter switch vibrated undone
Should last a few years, the fantastic thing about it is the digital readout of volts and amps and hours used
Ron

Re: 4.4KVA NEW GENERATOR
Hi Oneday,
One other thing was the key broke off in the lock as they are too thin so had a new heavy duty one cut from the key cutterers
