Hi All,

I posted a question on another forum with a similar name, about the death certificate of Thomas Cue (Page 40, 2012 GG&T yearbook wrtten by Thomas J. Foster)

I thought this might capture the attention of the author of the article, but someone on this forum might be able to help.

The question is:
Thomas Cue (Prospector) was born in Casterton, yet on the Death certificate reads to me as Ireland.
Although the N in Ireland looks like a U.

Not that it really matters, but I love this sort of stuff.

I have spent many years doing my own family history research. If you have a copy of the certificate, can you scan it so I can see it. I can't promise anything but may be able to help with your search.

Thanks for the link.

Jim Foster replied to my other post, said that indeed the death certificate says 'Born in Ireland, but it is incorrect.
There is also the mistake of his age.

Jim also said that he found out Tom was a bit of a boozer toward the end, and the Mrs booted him out.
I think most of those old-time gold prospectors would have been boozers, only thing to keep them sane.

There are so many great stories with every gold producing area.
