Ctx 3030 user here. GPZ or GPX5000 for the gold

Hey guys.
Been itching to get out into the red dirt again and was wondering what detector to go for. Ive been using a CTX3030 for a year and a half back home and also do some diving with an Excal 2. What detector would best suit me to hunt the yellow? Im 28 and fairly handy with new tech

old adage, buy the best you can afford. these days wouldn't go less than a sdc2300 or GPX4500 with one of the new coils through the GPX 5000 or go whole hog and get a GPZ 7000

I'd love the GPZ but from what I hear, the 5000 doesn't miss much.. This detector will also be funded by my metro detecting finds ;-)

Not me... I'm also struggling. It appears we've been beaten by another ninja swinger..

if you can afford it then go the GPZ for sure. I have been out for the last week testing the SDC and the 5K with the elite 14 inch coil against the GPZ in the hands of a extremely good user and the GPZ beats both hands down on undug or air test targets. the 5K and the SDC are both great machines but even with the new coils are no match for the GPZ.
