Locate WA / Pilbara

In the last couple of days I have idled away a bit of time looking at this site: http://www.locate.wa.gov.au/

It well may be more appropriate in the Mapping section, but sometimes topics can get overlooked there, so I thought I would mention it here.

Note: I can’t remember where or how I came upon this. If it were on this or another forum I would like to acknowledge the OP for their contribution

good site col, i like the historical aerial photo's overlay. and the ease of tenements and mines,

Yep Col,
Bit of stuffing around getting the "locate file" onto my Google earth but it really good . Heaps more options, and a lot clearer too. My new toy.

Can,t find the locate file...next question what web browsers are you running ,I,m trying to keep google chrome away..as it starts to take over.

Mark I had the same problem,
So whilst you are on Google earth , go to your start control icon at bottom left of screen then type in "locate" and it should be on a file there , click on that and it should start running in Google earth, I have to do this every time I want to use it unfortunately, until I work out a better way to use it.

But if you haven't done it already, you will need to go to locatewa.com etc and download that to get it on file.

I got rid of everything ,and will start from scratch again.just uploaded, IE 11 that could be probs as well
.did,nt type in locate ,was just looking for the file.
C wot happens ..won,t be tonight tho .well and truly on the way ..unemployed don,t u love it
