Very cool Tricky. I've messed around some wet and dry sand paper on a few species just for fun. I just did it by hand and have always wondered if you had the kit whether you could cut and polish species without cracking them. Seems like you can! Black iron stone species would look great done like that i reckon Tricky. Have you or anyone has tried it?

another photo and how it looked coming out of the ground.
I have a lapidary saw and have tried with a 6 thou blade but it flexes too much so I now use a 25 thou diamond blade. I have cut numerous species but most of them fracture and the thicker they are cut the less they fracture. the polishing can be done with a set of cabbing wheels or sand paper starting at 400 normally down to 3000 for the final sand and then on to the polishing wheels.
