Jon Price, managing director of small gold miner Phoenix Gold,
believes the rise in operating costs in
the WA goldfields over recent years
has been outpaced by the rise in the
gold price. He says gold mining in WA
remains a good business to be in.
"If you're still getting a $500
margin on every ounce of gold you
bring out of the ground, you've got an
extremely healthy business in a
precinct that has much lower risk than
others around the world," he says.
Price sees plenty of potential for
that margin to increase, particularly
if central banks in Europe and the US
start printing money again. He says if
that happens, gold could push through
$US2000 an ounce next year.

yeah i want to sell a bit.but i cant get the price i want....imin kal...this is the worst place to sell gold....ant ideas

heres a link to some graphs i recon are pretty interesting (for graphs ) to my eye this makes gold cheep at the moment and it can only go up in price over the medium - long term and a safe place to keep your money as hyper inflation continues to kick in
