G'day All
Just wanted ask the vault of knowledge, any suggested settings for a 24" mono, or any other advice.
I recently came across a small patch, untouched, manage to pick up 10grms (eight nuggies) The patch area where they were found was only about the size of two cricket pitches. I have a gut feeling there are more, but zero so far.
The ground is very quiet, so the threshold is very smooth, I mainly used the 11" mono commander, tried the 8" mono and the 24". I haven't gridded or chained yet!

Not that I can help, BUT the first question your going to be asked is, What Detector are you using?

Cheers
Chris.

Hi Gold

Mate if the grounds real quiet i would be gettin the gain up over 15 and the stab over 14, run in deep mode
and med GB in fixed, if it can handle it also run audio in boost..

I knew someone would
ask that, I forgot to put that in, 5K
In quiet ground I can usually run the gain at 18-20 max and stabiliser at 2-3

Be very cautious of running that gain so low pete, with the gain so high and the stab so low
you wont be getting much advance over standard factory pre sets.
Remember that the gain is a recieve gain not a send gain.

Hope you have a good trip up to Cue Wink

Thanks mate,
I started to realise today from other posts the relationship between gain and stab
Thats whats so good about this forum, blokes like yourself are unselfish with their knowledge
Cheers I'll have a ball in Cue, I was only there for 10 days three weeks ago, now I am in the sh---t with the boss
