Dunolly little nugget
Hi all,
Went for a little swing in Dunolly.
Day was perfect 28 degrees and place was so clean it must be a VIRGIN Ground.
For a first 3 hours never had any signal.Nothing.Zero.
Even my good old rubbish signal which never disappoints me was missing this time.
Also had this strange buzzing noise following me everywhere.I got scared that maybe i am around Bees nests and will be running fast any minute, but noise was constantly following me around.Well there were these huge flies trying to make a meal of me
.Every time before i start detecting its slip slop slap also spraying my boots and end of trousers with surface spray just to keep creepy crawly on the bay. This seems to work as these flies did not like it and only manage to land few times on my boots and thats about it.
Place were i was detecting was just signal dead, but perfect for detecting.Lot of old diggings, test holes, gullies, hills, ironbark name it.
Plan was to leave around 6.30pm.Around 6.25PM got a signal.
Digging around 4 inches and i got a little ball of clay and signal in it.Well that was always good sign and sure enough little nugget come out.
I could nearly touch the car.
Well at least i did not go home empty handed.
Got another 2 very sweet signals but also very nice bullets as a result of it.

Re: Dunolly little nugget
nice.
sometimes when u go out to new areas and don't get a signal, u kind of wish that piece of junk came along just to break up the boredom.
u going back to the area u got the nugget. i'm sure there are other nuggets there

Better go there the day before and "Baygon" the spot for Enio John, just to be safe mate
Wouldnt want him kneeling to dig a whopper and get hit on the nuts with a inch ant :rolf:
Then again take some tissue's for the happy tears incase he does.

Hey Pete,
I use half surface spray on my boots and end of detecting trousers so if they get on me they must be Super ants with gas mask.
Thanks John.
Looking forward to go detecting on your next trip here .At this stage long weekend in March looks good for a few days camping.(with couple of other guys)
When you come in Easter i might have a new detector :).
Pete my friend is gone to work in Telfer.(you better be nice to me if you want to go detect there one day )
If other thing what we discuss is still on send me a pm.
