A good start to 2017

I'm new at this prospecting game. First three week trip we got 530 bits for a little over 7 1/2 oz, we are a week in to the next trip and have 340 bits for just over two oz. looks like I like the prospecting game. Happy hunting. I'll post photos in a couple weeks.

Trip one and trip 2 6 weeks detecting with a mate for 1387 nuggets for 371 grams to split between us with 26 specimens to crush this weekend one being larger than me scone.

Yes we've had a nice start to 2017 too. Not as good as Shane's but the weather's great and there's a bit of gold about.



We planned on not going too far because we have some problems back home and Sandra's been unwell.



We spent about 2 weeks looking for gold and two weeks looking for bottles and relics. We got a bit of both with 40g of gold (still in the acid) and way too many bottles

Yes Anthony, Sandra has a fair idea of which ones are rare. We've never managed to snag the really valuable ones but out of the thousands collected there may be a handful of semi-valuable ones however there are a lot of nicely illustrated bottles, and pretty blue and purple turn of the century ones that make a nice display. Half of my old parts shelves from the store are now covered with old bottles with just a few dozen special ones on show in the lounge room.

Day 5 was a ripper for me over 20 bits. My best day so far at that point, little did I know what was to come in a few more days.

Finally we have edited and uploaded the recovery of the big nugget, there's more still in that hole, I might upload the next part tonight. This should motivate you all.

We came out for a 3 week trip Wednesday, I found an oz Friday. 67 grams for 3 and a bit days detecting.

I had another good day out there, six nuggets in one hole for just over 20 grams from the hole.

Cheers mate, took 4 blocks this time still empty before 3 weeks is up. Too much celerbrating. Hahaha heading home tomorrow but looking forward to doing a full season next year for sure.

Thanks hippity, happy you enjoy them. The feedback keeps me making more, I appreciate it. My videos are pretty crap quality but hey I'm no camera expert haha or computer expert even for that matter.
