I was advised this afternoon that all Rays Outdoors stores in Western Australia will be closing down. So there might be some sales coming up.
So that leaves us with BCF or smaller suppliers in the West.

Cheers

i have generally found their retail prices a bit steep so i guess that is what happens if your not competitive. along with online sales hitting the retail market hard and the FIFO workers not buying toys this may be a sign of things to come.

Close to where I live, I have Rays and BCF in Myaree.
when it comes to price for items I want, they offer the same price. The only difference is, Rays offer a range of clothing and footwear and BCF doesn't.
Talking to the people at Rays this arvo, I think that is what killed them here. So I'm wondering if BCF will now diversify and offer a bigger range of gear coz at the moment, the Rays store craps all over the BCF store.
Rays tell me, BCF will take on any warranty for purchases at Rays but I didn't ask for how long it will last.

When I purchase a new epirb there BCF had a cheaper price and Rays price matched. The girl I spoke to (the manager) said BCF and Rays where one and the same now. I could only presume from her comment that BCF had bought them out. That was 12 month ago.

Amazing what a bit of googling can find.
Seems a mob called "Super Retail Group" have a hold on things.
Here's something from a financial report in January 2014.
"The company, which also owns sporting goods company Rebel, Supercheap Auto, BCF (Boating, Camping and Fishing), Ray's Outdoors and Workout World".
Seems things weren't looking all that rosey back then so, like all companies, something had to go and it was Rays Outdoors.

While we are on the subject, seems Kulkyne campers has also closed up shop.
Any orders from them, you won't get it. But you should get your money refunded if you have ordered online.
