Fridgemate current draw Empty Fridgemate current draw

Good morning guys, I have a fridgemate fm95 litre fridge freezer set up in the back of the ute with a dual battery system and don't seem to get more than a day and a half out of the two batteries. Looks like it draws between 5.7 and 7 amps. It sounds a bit high. Does anyone else have one of these, or know what they should draw?
It is around 8 or 9 years old.

Cheers,
Emil

Check the condenser coil fins, may be dirty and blocked up or its fan has died, not allowing enough airflow. When the compressor pumps refrigerant into condenser and it doesn't get cooled enough, the pressure increases causing a high current draw. Does it have a fan?

Reading between the lines Emil, you are flattening both your batteries completely?
Apart from the possibility of not being able to crank your vehicle it is an absolute surety your batteries are going to have a very short life. Get yourself a solar panel to keep charging through the day.

Cheers

Hi guys,
Went through most items on the checklist and can only put it down to current draw. I have a 200 watt solar but was using it for charging the camp lights and charge the detector batteries with. Will have to look at changing a few things.
Thanks for the comments

Cheers
Em
