Re: Whats ur Favorite Beer.......
James Squire "Golden Ale" or Tooheys Old or Carlton Draught in an emergency. I don't get "mid-strength". I like a drink, two, three and then I'm done. If I drink mid-strength, I'm drinking all night with no effect and end up pissing all night long instead of sleeping. Mid-Strength? Not for me.
Other's when I can get 'em,,,,,,,White Rabbit Dark Ale, the late departed "DogBolter", Coopers Dark and any American IPA. I do a lot of home brews to get these obscure ones.
What I can't stand is bloody GUINNESS!! That is the most disgusting drink in the world other than that "Cow's Eyeball Cocktail" that the young lady on "Celeb I'm Outta Here" last night! Other stuff I'm not keen on,,,,,,,,,,ehmmmm,,,,,water? Oh and "VB",,,,,,,,,,when I had a dog, I used "VB" as dog wash to keep the fleas off him.

Re: Whats ur Favorite Beer.......
Ahh what a subject.I am preety versatile on this subject as usually have what evers going at the time.Normally take away Carlton mid cans as less chance of breakages and chill quicker than bottles, also as Kev has said they squash down and take up less room( can crusher on the nearest tree ).At the end of the day its all washed down with a couple glass`s red anyway.
At home ,thats where the home brew comes into the equation.

Re: Whats ur Favorite Beer.......
There are only three types of beer:-
Good beer
Better beer
Free beer.
My favourite from a long time back was Abbotts in long neck stubbies.
All this from a driller who doesn`t drink.
Now there`s a rare thing...........

Re: Whats ur Favorite Beer.......
Anything usually but I won't touch Westend or Carlton midstrength.
anyone who has tried Westend will know why you avoid it like the plague and the other always reminds me of the smell of the camel races in Alice Springs.

Re: Whats ur Favorite Beer.......
Big difference in what my favourite beer is and what I drink on a day to day basis. My favourites would be Erdinger Hefe Weiss, a creamy, bottle fermented wheat beer from Germany. Australian beers such as Fat Yak, Hop Hog, Little Creatures Pale Ale, 50 Lashes are all good craft beers. Coopers Pale Ale and Coopers Mild Stout are nice.
General day to day swill......Emu Export but probably not for much longer as since Lion Nathan has taken it over they keep making it weaker and weaker. It was 4.8% once, now down to 4.2% and tastes different. They have destroyed quite a few good Aussie Beers over the years. XXXX Gold because it's cheap, but it's pretty tasteless too.

Just too many good beers to name, James Squire makes some nice ones as does Feral Brewery in the Swan Valley.

Re: Whats ur Favorite Beer.......
What about the good old days here in WA, you could drink Swan lager straight from the King Browns and you could drink Swan Lager, not forgetting the favourite Swan Lager.
Trip to Kal and you could slug a drop of Hannan's.
Those were the days.

you forgot to say, if you went to the pub, you could drink swan lager (they called it swan draught) from a keg attached to a tap
did you mention if you went to Kal you could get Hannans and my all time favourite, Kalgoorlie Stout
Just being cheeky, it's been a boring day and all I've got is emu export at the mo

Re: Whats ur Favorite Beer.......
To wash away the hot dust... not picky if they are ICE cold BUT grab two at once...
the first to wet the gullet to get rid of that red dust pasty taste,
the second to hit the eye balls while sitting in the camp chair sucking in the serenity.
Bit partial to Carlton Dry Beers (Low Carb)... but does nothing for my midrift these days. Switch to Jacks when starting to feel bloated, then OP Bundy when It's cold and I'm too p*ssed to look for more wood after everyone else has turned in or passed out.
