it seems that gold is increasing by about $50 a month minimum so by the time this season comes she should be around
$1700 min.

geez back to the dizzy days when she got to nearly $2k..

maybe time to look at doing something....new piece of equipment maybe.

When the stock market goes down, gold goes up.
it has been said in the business sections of the news that the end of this month will tell where the market will stand for the rest of the year.
so if the market continues to slowly slide down like it is doing, then gold should show a good price.

Yeah, but last time it almost hit 2k, the Aussie dollar was on parity or better with the US$.
Looks good now only coz the Aussie$ has dropped to $0.82... and going backwards until the next interest rate rise.

There's more to what drives the gold price than "stock market down = gold up". There's the increasing devaluation of the Aussie dollar vs the US dollar etc, but this is the issue at the moment and you won't hear this on "Australian TV news at 6":

I often find these types of news feeds a bit over the top and conspiracy theory driven, but I reckon this is why Russia invaded Ukraine - 80% of all gas supplies to Europe go through Ukrainian pipelines. There are a couple of smaller bypassing lines but nothing like what passes through Ukraine. So is it WW3 that's driving the gold price? Or is it this:

With an annual budget of USD2billion ISIS can do a lot of damage to the world especially now it is damn near controlling Iraq and Syria.

Euro being devalued, US Dollar getting abused, USA getting abused, Russia feeling squeezed and getting stroppy, Middle East WTF knows what's happening?  The problems are getting worse, so,,,,,,,,,,,,

I know where my superannuation money has just been moved.  Fixed interest and stuff the stock market.
and yes I'm paranoid about it, I got stung bad back in 2007/08 with the GFC.

it's been a miserable week. c'mon laugh

no doubt there Frank, include the food on the go, accommodation, fuel and breakdowns it certainly helps the bank accounts of the locals but then there's the not my state so i dont give a F*&k attitude that takes the livelihood away from many a local miner/leaseholder and leave the place scattered with rubbish. luckily they are few and far between and yes, WA also has its share of mongrels. the good tourist do outweigh the bad ones and i feel the golds pretty safe over here from what I hear about the detecting skills in our ground of the fellow prospectors from over yonda way... so not stressed over that. i believe we had over 6000 prospectors visit WA last year thats a lot of people spending cash. bring em on hehe

This could be the start of the big unwinding of the manipulated financial system,so with countries now offering zero interest rates,so I think a lot more people will be looking at gold.
