Lease Raiding in WA
This has been discussed on other sites but it needs to be impressed on detectorists to do your research and make sure you don't walk onto a lease without getting permission first. Check Tengraph for pending ground or get the necessary permissions from the Mining Companies (best of luck with that one). Things could get nasty so take care what you do.

hi bignuggs, have things changed over there in the last 2 years, had no probs getting permission 2 years ago, although many didn't, don't know how you can relax and enjoy swinging when you are constantly looking over your shoulder !!! regards, gary

Gary
Rules are the same as 2 yrs ago, but i think the Gold Squad is making a new push on
people using machinery and doing night raids mainly, permissions are still easy to get
if approached the correct way as usual.
Hows your detecting going in Vic mate, do you get out much ?

Re: Lease Raiding in WA
theres a lot of stories going around and I think they are probably getting a bit paranoid out Kal way.
I only know of one area where they actually have a lease manager (probably 2 guys). The are patrolling the roads and tracks 24 hrs a day.
a trip I did to the area early this year, we got caught camping on a lease and got dobbed so we moved on but the sod kept looking for us.
