"Mexicans" travel north to---
yep after years of northerners traveling south to plunder the Karratha goldfields --we thought its about time to go North young fella and see what will be delivered.
Don't yah just like these trips that lead on to Virgin country unbeknown to either party what the outcome may bring or who we may come across.
From Golden Valley to the Pehwah onto Indee who knows what may deliver or were the hell we will end up---befor the temps start hovering over 40+
The plot continues.

I did an impromptu day trip on Saturday out to Nullagine with the missus, by the time we got to where we wanted to go we had an orange each, kitted up, wandered around for an hour with me showing her the finer details with detecting except for the gold part packed up and came home.

Re: "Mexicans" travel north to---
should have --we might have found something--good fun though and nice garlic prawns last night..
The country looked good and we weren't too far away from finding something..
no dingoes out there which surprised us however we didn't see 1 kangaroo either so that might explain why.
marks a good cook with his prawns.
called into Indee gold mine and had a chat to the geo who is Chinese and the ex station manager of Sherlock who works for the mine now but acts like hes the mine manager--some people..but all good.

Re: "Mexicans" travel north to---
Yeah I reckon its "Crysophrase", A couple of Slavian blokes down Yerrilla way have been mining it for years and as far as I know are the only ones that do it commercially. There was a show on tv not long ago in which they featured along with The Grand Hotel Kookynie publicans and others in the area.
The crysophrase leases were up for sale last I heard. They reckon it is worth good coin as apparently the Chinese love the stuff, gets turn into jewellery etc.

Re: "Mexicans" travel north to---
Yep looks like a green opalite. Still can be worth a bit. Is there nickel in the area Ray?
Give me a call Ray I have a mate that cuts and polishes gemstones for a living. If you can send me a bit I'll get some polished and see how it comes up.
