100 year old Gold/treasure locator.

$150.oo for ancient technology, with a modern price, considering an ounce of gold was US $20.67 in 1905,

1fitty was 7.5ounces = a lazy 10 grand today, makes a gpx5k look cheap.

Just wondering if it works on the same principle as a nugget in hand & a bronze rod.

How it works

i know someone who has a small nugget that he found in the area he is working glued on the shaft just above the coil on his 5k, it wont scream at ya on a PI because it doesn't move. he reckons gold attract gold and gives you a better clearer signal that tunes itself to the local gold. I havnt tried this yet but looks like it follows the same principal, i will take some araldite with me next trip and IF i find something give it a go.

...and the bigger the nug glued to the shaft, the more attraction it has for bigga nugs.. I'ma try this one.

upon closer inspection, the glass tube on the shaft is apparently filled with apparent gold dust,

could be worth its weight in gold considering what it was originally worth
