Thought I'd share a tip ... A laptop bag makes a great carry/storage bag for your coils. It's padded and usually has a couple of sections in it to keep your coils, spare leads, minrs right etc. We got one fairly reasonably priced from Big W but you might pick one up cheap on Gumtree :)

Back packs are good too, some of the smaller ones you can get 2 of the smaller coils 11" in separate sections, pick em up at the op shop for a couple a bucks.

I bought 2 of these. Coil bags but you can get ya whole detector in it.
Even with the long upper shaft on the 5000, I can still get 3 coils in with 2 batteries, cables and 2 sets of head phones.
and they are padded better than some of the other bags on offer.
I can recommend them, I got no connection with the seller.
