Heres a couple of bits i pinged this morn, only 1.23 grams between the 2 so nothing to get excited about. Both picked up with my sadie.

On a side note i couldnt believe how much the spinnifex has shot up over the last couple of weeks since that cyclone dumped a heap of rain, all the spinni is starting to seed and is now 3 foot high!

Nah mate dont have a 8" ML mono, come to think of it i dont think ive ever even seen one up here. I thought the sadies were the sh#t the way people rave about them and thats why i got one, but u reckon the 8" ML is better hey. Oh well gotta live with what i got now -already have too many coils  lol!

yep being round I reckon they have an edge..just like the 11" mono commander--the ducks nuts if u are trying to have a go and are new to the game..

I reckon ya coil could do with a bit of tlc--clean out the dirt in the skid plate and renew the tape..

its about time we hooked up again and done a trip.

nice couple bubba nugg's chad.
now that ya had a good use off your 5k how do you compare it with your old extreme ?
did you pick up half grammer's' with the extreme, I have only used the 45 and 5 and just trying to get a idea as I don't own a detector yet.
although I only get out for a few weekender's each year I'm happy to hire til I can get more trips in

The 5000 runs a heap quieter which means i can run mono coils all the time, i could occaisionally run them on my extreme, but could generally only do it for an hour or 2 before the noise drove me crazy. Ive been picking up a LOT more small stuff aswell and in the same areas i detected plenty of times with my extreme. I havent picked up anything over a couple of grams with it yet but i guess i just havent walked over anything bigger yet. If i had my time again i would have saved my $$$ and gone straight to the 5000.
