I think what Martin means is, what else is to be found where that was dug out of. Has to more or it was all on it's lonesome.

looks very similar type of gold I found on my lease, just bigger ,,a hell of a lot bigger. feeling the need to go up and check just incase some has found my unfinished holes/targets as the ground got too hard.

with my limited knowledge it look like a part of a vain found in quartz so there must be a leader down there feeding it or it is a off shoot of a much larger reef. i would get that bulldozer there or a drill rig in a flash. good to see gold like this is still out there waiting to be found. a lot say the good gold has gone, a lot say you will only find small nuggets now, goes to show you.

Agree with ya Martin. You would need more than a pick, crowbar or hammer & chisel to find the host.
It's still out there and ya just gotta be lucky to walk over it  Twisted Evil

Have just been down to the Kalgoorlie Museum and had a look at it . From about a half a meter away.

Its called the "Faith of Colleen" and weighs 117oz. It is 51cm long, crystaline gold, and was found at Mt Monger.

On short term loan to the Museum if you want to have a look at it.

Driller.

mmmmm, 117oz, 51 cm??? I know Driller says these are the numbers, but im not convinced, I think Shorty's post of 703 grams well guessed by ALBO, would be more realistic im afraid and im more than happy to be corrected if wrong.
But still o very worthy museum piece and good on the finder for sharing it with the world of GOLD lovers, may the price reach the heavens.

Hi Everyone & Happy New Year ,
I agree with Rogawilco , the size of nugget to the lady's arm is not 50cm long. I heard just before christmas of three big nuggets being found . A 117 oz nug out Monger way , a 20 oz nug east of Kal & a 60 oz nug no sure where .

Cheers Charlie.
