All the best for the New Year and year ahead, Ray. Hope the big blow heading your way doesn't do to much damage or cause any injuries to folk over that way. prepare and stay safe.
Good luck,

Yep, looks like PH is going to cop it, we have just gone to yellow at cloudbreak and the wind is picking up slowly.
It may be a dumb question
Just thinking that this wind and rain will "wash" the ground, could this expose more gold on old patches?
If your in its path, good luck and stay safe.

if it floods and comes down fast and runs off then it will expose some ground otherwise it will only make the spinny grow faster..

Stay safe and good luck to all in W.A. North-west. Just checked P.H. weather. They are favorites this time.

continual wind and rain--some suburbs have lost power but all good so far--the dry blower is still on the trailer and me tarp is still keeping the van water tight.
the boat in the front yard hasn't started to float yet and if it does i'll b onboard quicker than u can bend down--then i'll yell out to the rest to join me.

winds must b gusting around 150k mark but constant at 90ks.
too late to drive out now.

power is out in Ktown and working under genie power here.
trees up rooted and power lines down haven't gone for a sticky beak yet but looks like it got to cat3 and the wind and driving rain was continuous all night.

house next door has a tree resting on his caravan
house behind has a few broken branches and a damaged fence
house across the road has a fallen power line

that's just a couple of houses as neighbours.

just finished helping people remove trees uprooted in the cyclone and placing them on the verge--no charge of course--money isn't there to b made in these situations..

geez I'm glad we got out of mt regal when we did. This thing wasn't nice and it was only a cat3.
Wickham and Roebourne coped the worst of it with damaged houses in both towns.

the problem with this cyclone is that the eye didn't come over us and we coped the wind and gales all night.

but hey still alive and ready to chase anything on 1 leg lol!  batten down for the new year-- 2225825816 ..

Happy to hear you didn't suffer to much Oneday, I see Christine crossed the coast at low tide so the surges didn't create the anticipated flooding.

All the best for the rest of 2014.

Cheers
