all over this season 2013

yep with the onset of the cyclone season and me mate having the prospect of a job for a few months caretaking a station -we decided to pull the pin and bring everything home till June 2014. This caretaking stuff must b catching.

In the meantime its a huge overhaul of the machine again with quite a few modifications to be done as the season ends and the rain tumbles down well soon it will and I didn't want to be out there stuck in clay.

This other area still needs a bit of work done to it so hopefully we will get out there and sample the plot. We picked up very fine gold in a tail in a pan but I need a bit better indication than that to dry blow the patch and be viable.

Ray, I admire your perserverance under pretty trying conditions.
Whilst you may not have hit your target, I am sure that what you have discovered with the gear and also its limitations all will be corrected for next years run.
From my old years ago experience with sluicing, 90% recovery from 20c/yds. always beats 75% from 100c/yds. whether it be per day or week.
Thats where the costs/profit happens.

cheers mate--it certainly was a learning curve--the whole area has gold within it--u just have to find the 'G' spot coz it aint worth my effort processing 1 gram per 20t.

maybe in 20years it certainly would be worthwhile if gold reaches $15,000 per oz. I would be back in there like Flynn.

If u could find copious amounts of water a wet plant would do OK.
We don't have a bore out there and I aint goin to truck water in.

my tally was gold sold = 14ozs
That was 14ozs I did not have when I started.

It certainly wouldn't have paid wages in the real world but some say I don't live in that world and I have had my fair share of critics and knockers to tag along--at least I gave it a go

I would also want to say a big thankyou to JD, Kerry and Steve--if we ever get really serious -what a bloody good team to have.

The dryblowing is over      not getting much gold      so the party is over      the gear is packed up and needs serious repair and ya need someone who can really operate a decent loader, like this one

got just about everything home just got to go back out and pick up the tractor---not looking good coz its bloody hot and no wind in Ktown..
40.c in the workshop yesterday.

pulled out just in time--I knew I didn't want to push our luck so late in the season--but all good..

hopefully be back out there next season to make some dust..

AR, good stuff anyhow , Ray you could do with some new ground ...if patches come up like the frenchmans I hear about youl be the first Il tell ..  ... that's how I roll , get in for ya chop , that's after iv had a fair lick at it & when the masses start rolling in ....... if you find a new patch & it comes undone , there is only 1.. yes 1 person to blame & that must be yourself , anyway enough of the dreamtime albo.

met an old prospector from Nullagine called GRISSLY -- full of info and knows everyone even knows the weasel.
he's getting some new tyres of me --14ply 7.50x16 that's what we all run up here-stuff the wank tyres..no mud no snow no fatties no punctures.

all good and a cyclone on its way--pulled out at the right time.

Ray, thanks for the past year, the snoring monster and I had a fat time at the Patch would do it all over again at hart beat. Mind you the cool session can not come around quick enough for me.
