Finally got my first!

I was pretty determined today to get my first nugget after 4 months owning the GPX5000. Learnt a lot last weekend on what I've been doing wrong setting the 5000 up. Did a bit of self training and get her humming today and put a full day in (Mostly driving around finding ground). Anyway happy that now I have some test specs to use for tuning. One at 0.30 gram and other at 0.25 gram. At least pays for the speaker I bought as the headphones were giving me the sh*ts.

True words, I still have in my possession the first piece I ever found, it's special     but geez did it give me the fever

Its a good feeling, finding the first piece of gold good on you PJ now that you know what to listen for you will find more. Dont throw your headphones away you will need them on the windy days.

Thanks all and yeah pretty stoked about it. Went out the next day but no luck. Got annoyed as after doing a few km I realised the switch ticked over to DD for some reason (Must of knocked it when setting it down to dig a target). And on one target I dug a foot down and ended up getting remains of a tin can. Was gutted as you could imagine.  Anyway 4 day weekend coming up so hopefully get a few more.
