few from a newbie
see finds been running slow lately thought would put some up only been detecting few months
and finding a few bits
first piece i found was wraped went back out new years day little worse for where lol but worth it picked up this one hard diggin 43 degrees and a little hung over been back few times havent been able to find any of there mates YET happy huntin

Some nice lookin nuggets there Digdog, geeze that ground looks like hard diggin is required, know what ya mean about goin out in this heat but hopefully the 40+ days are over Stu

cheers snap yer think the heat is over bit worried though have never found any nuggies when its been under 40 not from lack of trying though

Some very nice bits you got there. Well done.
I see your in WA, is that what's called cap rock in the bottom of the hole ?
We don't get that over here in VIC. Also is that basalt rock the blue/black rocks around the hole and if so is common to find gold in basaltie areas? I am hoping to get to WA this year so am looking for a few tips.

Hi mark look mate don't think will be to much help still only learning myself think it was a iron stone hill had a burnt quartz vein running along the bottom of the hill and a few green stone belts running the same direction about 30 meters apart probily no help but good luck with you trip over here cheers digdog
