I'll try talk devil woman into letting me consider the 4000 if it's still for sale Stoppsy? Is it too complex for a first detector?

Dez, Any 'new' detector takes some learning, it doesn't matter what you get, so long as you learn the one you get. The 4000 is a great detector and I can vouch for Stoppsy looking after his.

I know the first detector i ever used was a nightmare (Fisher 552-D + 441-D VLF)....give me a PI anyday.

Devil woman cracked it at me today about the trans am and told me to give the leases/excavator/ute/caravan a week on feebay so against my better judgement I let her talk me into it so I said I was going to spend $$$ on a decent detector if it sells so this could be good... The trans am is a goer if all else fails but I lost my licence speeding on my R1 and I think jesus will return before I get it back Twisted Evil

I am pretty technical minded, I get the sh*ts easily too...

i have the 4 on ebay at the moment i don't realy wont to sell it. who ever ends up with it will love it as much as i have it's a freak of a detector. i'll leave the settings i use in it, they are easy to use just play around with the settings and get use to what does what. you can't bugger the settings as you can just go back to the FP and start over again.

I hope it sells then for you, if it doesn't then pm me with a price and we can go from there, devil woman says I have to lose toys first and I have listed what cost me $45k for $5k with $18k buy it now so it should sell easily enough.

no probs mate, i think it will sell as i have had people asking when i was putting it up for sale as they wonted it. i know a few friends that wont it but they don't have the money for it wich is a pitty as i could show them how to get the best out off it. it's found over 2 ounces since i'v had it wich is about 15 or so months. 98% of the time i take it out i come home with gold.

well I have 1500 acres around casino to wander so I am hoping there's something? There is plenty of sapphire, I don't know much about geology so I don't know if the two go hand in hand...

I saw that listing and had a laugh at the gold, good selling ploy there mate!!!

i think the gold should be a good eye opener to show what it's found in a few months worth of swinging the coil. if they see that and a few vids it's a good way of selling it. i was thinking i should post the rest off the findingd but there's way to many pixs lol.

You can't go wrong stoppsy your machine is a proven goldfinder and I reckon you will get good dollars for it. With my two recent sales I had 101 watchers on the 3500 and when I sold the 4500 I had 97 watchers, the 3500 fetched $3955 and the 4500 fetched $4400 so if you add heaps of pictures and video of you finds, you will get good dollars for a used machine I reckon. With the amount of watchers I had and I would say stoppsy would have plenty of watchers, it goes to show there is a good market for second hand Minelab detectors on ebay if you want to sell and upgrade.

Cheers Jonesy.
