Goin Bush--finally

Well thats the plan.
All the permisions have been sort so Hopefully with a bit of sun shine should head out Saturday arvo and wonder back sunday arvo with me digger.

If anyones is out at Burny's patch give me a call on the UHF radio Ch 29.

will have the swag and chairs set up .
too hot to light a fire so looks like a bit of KFC,

Good on ya Ray , i liked the Burneys area , only went once & we found about 4-5 small bits south in a virgin spot but not croossing the big creek to the west. Too much spinni at the time , but a good spot in the heat for the midday stubbys in the rockpool. I met Burnie by chance nth of meeka in the bush just after he found it & he said he got 300oz in the first hit , around that dolerite hill 22km west of Rocklea. I believe its been worked with machinery & the Para boys hammered it on breaks , but slill a chance along the line south following the dolerite dyke, cheers mate ,albo.

well that was an adventure--
couple of mates came along for the ride--not far only 14ks from town..
played around on 3 well flogger spots out there on the station.
The main purpose was to see if the tractor could handle the pace --well yes and no, after I got use to the controls on the bucket I was on my way clearing a patch of spinny..detected it and we found 2 pieces--small-found a nice cleared spot so set up camp.

9.00pm decided to lay down with my possessive bull terrier at my side, just layed ontop of my swag which was on a camp stretcher which I have had for 20 years..

10.30pm got up with a half moon shinning straight in my face and sweating like some mungrel just befor hes sentenced to die at the hands of 20 females...so decided to jump in an air conditioned tractor for the next 4 hours clearing some more spinny...done a bit of detecting --nothin so I decided to have a try at another kip--at least it cooled down 3 more degrees--mind u still 30'..so i'm laying there and all of a sudden something decides to give me a love bite on the back of the neck--bloody hell whats goin on--a heap of black ants decided they wanted my swag more than me--stuff me--out with the fly spray--then bugger me dead, the bloody mozzies wanted a part of me--more fly spray--stuff this -its about 5.30am so I couldnt wait for the sun to rise and as I'm gettin out of my camp stretcher my right hand side hip decides this is too hard and its sore as being nailed to the cross....

well the tractor is back at the workshop with the radiator coming out Tuesday to see if it needs some attention and maybe a new thermostat to boot.

So I have decided to buy a 20 foot caravan with hopefully a split air con so I can take it bush--stuff that all for a joke..I dont need to harden up --they already invented a pill 4 that..i just want some creature comforts..and a good genny--10KVA diesel if anyone knows were theres one.

Mean while the dog hasnt moved since we got back--sore paws again--what a sight--what a team..bugger me dead-- wouldnt be dead for quids..it can only get better--

buying a new camp stretch as well..just in case..

total of gold was enough to cover fuel. but we will be back out there--anyone is welcome..

Good to hear you covered fuel costs. I gotta say youre a braver man than me camping out this time of year!!! I tried it a couple of times this time last year and didnt get a wink of sleep either time because of the heat. Decided i wouldnt ever camp out again before easter up here.

Got any pics of your gold or the tractor in action????

Ill have to come out and see your little operation in progress sometime soon.

What size caravan are you chasing? How much you want to spend??? Theres generally 1 or 2 at dreamers corner here in hedland at any one time, generally a few on the hedland facebook page aswell. Let us know what you want and ill have a look around for you.

might have picked up a van--will know 2moro..about 27' long
2 end bedrooms with kitchen and dining room in the middle. 3 doors and 3 yes 3 air cons..outside shower rose but its a bit rough struff what did I expect for the price...

Nothing that the air hose down the workshop cant clean...replace a few panels which are water damaged and replace the 400L fridge freezer.

Should hopefully find a chippy to replace panels etc..Oh what a project--

Hi JT-I've got my trusty tojo so I will have to do a midnight crawl--lol
I only have to travel 14 ks to where we want to pitch our tent..if we stall getting up the hill we will put another tojo in front with a strong bar and road train our way in..what a sight..
might look a bit sus towed behind the backhoe..
