long gully forsayth nth. qld

just wondering if anyone has detected long gully west of forsayth nth . qld .?
seen some large nuggets { 10 oz + } on ebay lately from that area .

Yes I have detected Long Gully I found the 6oz nugget in my avatar there, the odd big bit & the spattering of little bits but lots of ground in between, I am heading up there in the next month, the Townsville club has their trip there this month & as a member on the trip you get a discount.

Hi Lee, Thats a lovely size you've got in your hand- ( especially for Qld) Is long gully on some ones private property or mining lease , if you don't mind elaborateing , cheers yibidavid

"Long Gully" is the name of the station near Forsayth they charge per day to detect, google it & you wiil find a website, there are some leases on the place too.

i met some people at flat creek station about 5 years ago detecting .
they lived at douglas , townsville .
they both worked at J.C.U .
i lost my phone last year, and all my contacts .
you look extremely like him,
i was wondering if it was you .?

i would not waste my time with cleremont , if you have not been there before.
the grass is at least 4 foot high , the gold , gem festival is on there in august .
at least 500 people will be there detecting for a week or so .

i would go straight to long gully .
townsville metal detecting club will be there in august , probably 15 to 20 people .
there is heaps of huge nuggets comming from there .
as it was only opened to the public last october , after 12 years being closed .
i have seen a 23 ouncer , 10.2 ouncer and a 6 ounce nugget come from there lately .

i have just sold my gpx 4500 and my nugget finder coils at cleremont last week .
working 6 days aweek in bowen , going to buy the next machine minelab bring out next year , going to buy 24 x12 eliptical and 17 x 11 eliptical nugget finder advantage series coils, for a big trip to long gully next year .
