Goldbug 2 repairs???

Anyone know of anyone who would be able to do repairs on a Goldbug 2????

Well after much stuffing around, ringing, emailing and chasing up leads I was finally able to get my goldbug 2 to someone who was prepared to have a look at it. A big thanks to "mechanic" for sorting it out and getting it purring like a kitten, I was starting to think I was gonna have to send it back to the US!

Anyway-anyone who needs repairs done to a detector I highly recommend you get in touch with Mechanic, im sure you will be as happy with the results as I was. I do believe though that he will only look at older minelab PI's (not serviced by minelab anymore), modded minelabs (again not serviced by minelab) and most of the "other" brand VLF's.

On a side note-any one out there considering buying "other" brand detectors do your research. I bought mine from the US as I couldn't get a GB2 in aus at the time and I was aware my warranty was only good over there. I contacted a few fisher dealers here in Australia to find out who they use for repairs, when I contacted them about doing repairs (out of my own pocket) they were not interested and basically said they had no idea about these detectors, makes you wonder how good the warranty for aus bought non minelabs really are??
