what are coils-coils aren't coils

I am thinkin of makin a coil. Surely it cant be that dificult.
A meter os so of litz wire and some connections to hook it up to the tector.
Do an air test and if it can pick up a signal 2 foot in the air on a half grammer, it must be alright.
Mmmmmh sounds too easy.

Help or comments always appreciated.

no comments either way, but surely there is some information by doing a google search on how to make one.

have you pulled one apart before to check how it is done?
