Guys, just a quick question regarding these coils.

I know of an area that is highly mineralised. To give u an example. the 5000 struggles to pick up 1g gold at 2 inches with a small mono coil.

If i was to change to a salt coil, would this help on this type of ground?

I assume you have also tried the salt timing on your 5000 as well ?

The thing a lot of people don't know is that with mining and removal of top soil, scrapings, old river beds flood planes, land clearing or just the area you are in, Salt can build up in the ground. The salt timing on the 5000 does a pretty good job on dealing with this, much better then all the other timings.

Even if you are on ground that doesn't look salty, but your detector refuses to settle down, the culprit could be salt.
If you still have no luck with the salt timing then you got it, the DD coil will help out a great deal.

Good luck mate :)
