working a lease Empty working a lease

Post by mada Sat 18 Nov 2017, 10:20 pm

Hi peoples I have been offered the chance to work a lease. Site has old historic mine or two, most of it is ore and has ball mill, plant and equipment, separator etc etc. The deal is I work the lease and split the finds 50/50 with the owner. An adjoining lease/mine held by the same holder in the early days produced 2000 ounces, thats not to say results will be same.

Would you jump at it??????????????

What have you got to loose? Do you have any experience in hard rock mining? 50/50 is a good deal if you don't have to fork out for any costs or breakdowns, other than that it's only your time you could loose.

Sounds good if the 50/50 is after all costs are taken out

No i dont have any experience however the owner has years of experience, however physically the owner can not. I am very hands on and very mechanically minded, I research anything and everything relating to AU every night ( I know I have a boring life). Very keen to put it all into practice.

Yes I agree would still need to work out some finer details but I think some of the newer methods of recovery may show better results, (who knows) food for thought.

what you also gain is knowledge and experience...you can't put a price tag on that.
Life is short mate.....go for it.

I would rather give it a crack than be waiting to die in a resthome and regretting what I didn't do.
Go for it and learn all that you can. Making a quid is the bonus.

Bear in mind that both "Dozer" and "Pilko" are currently in old people's homes in Kalgoorlie with little likelihood that they'll ever see the light of day ever again. Both dreamers about yesteryear, prone to dribbling, incontinence and can only take soft foods and gruels prior to "tablet time" which is the highlight of their day!

Shame really, I knew 'em when they owed me money!

steady on there Les...don't forget I get your belt buckle when you die.

I'm sure when Mada is up to his neck in wall collapses...toxic chemicals......poverty....rotator cuff injury....depression....debt....and all before breakfast..he will look back and thank us for our sage advice. Prospecting...what could possibly go wrong?
