Have I missed something?
There is a recent 2nd upgrade for the GPZ7000, but I haven't seen anything mentioned on this forum?
Saw it on another forum and sounds great!

Hey Jase
Hope all is well with you mate
Long story, got another Z and very happy with it
Just used it a few times and is deadly on the small nuggies, haven't found the brick yet Razz
I just finished downloading the upgrade and hope to be trying it out in the next few weeks
We'll have to catch up on a trip this season

sound's like a plan Pete
yep back at work already after me dummy spit, but all is good over this way mate.
yeah the 7k certainly has the edge over the gpx range from what i've witnessed and with these new upgrades it should open up a bit more ground to the zed user's
i still haven't robbed that bank yet or found that big nuggie to buy myself one
stay in touch Pete, cheers mate

There was a post on facebook that said the new upgrade causes problems.
Whether that is true or not I don't know. It was the reason I haven't said anything about it.
Hopefully some 7000 users can tell us if it works or not.
Cheers

This is the post from FB.  It might only be one persons opinion but it comes from a respected detectorist, not me.

"Word of advice .
Don't do the update for the 7000 . There's glitches . One is audio loss . others are constant spiking , like the GPX when there's storms about . Constant false signals ".

The audio loss has occurred once on my mates when switching between ground modes never again though. He is wrapped working salty ground up Cue way and says it is a fantastic upgrade. Has tried lots of different settings but says he runs normal 95% of the time with no issues. Can't wait to try it myself when I get out later this month or next...

I have the spiking mentioned with the new upgrade.Apart from that it seems to be a great addition, much quieter in all ground conditions.
