Anzac weekend

anyone getting away for a few days over the long weekend?.
my plans are up in the air, was planning to have the week off work this week until i got the choice of start a new house or face 4 weeks out of work.
so now it's been cut back to the long weekend and looking like a solo run as every bugger I've asked has pulled the pin [at least it was early notice].
any members keen for a quick spin up to paynes find area over the weekend just PM me, and will fill you in on details.

Yep got four days off -I will be out there getting covered in red mud and crap-not enough time to go far so its Yalgoo-ish direction I reckon-at least my face will be clean,I tend to spill my beer a bit after about ten-then back monday to wash the white company ute about three times-my next company ute will be painted outback red-Dragon

all is good have hooked up with a mate, but he just going to have a couple days jump on me

the place is fairly well worked over, but we knew that.
it still produces every time but you gotta work for your few pieces.
i was only their for 2 days and only spent a few hours on the old spot we hit a couple times and nailed 1 little nug on me 1st target.
we tried half dozen different spots with most off them producing a piece or 2 for someone
nice to get back out their, had a good time.
i must say with all due respect, i was not a fan off the ANZAC day ceremony being held in Bindoon shutting off the great northern highway for 20 minutes on the trip home.
traffic was built up for a couple k's either way, you think they could have held it next to the bloody highway and not on it, although i did get a good laugh at the trucker's having there say about it on the radio

I got eight for 13 grams if you deduct the ironstone hanging off them with the 2300 -all surface or just below -but the midgies got me ,gunna suffer for a week i reckon-I hate those little bastards with a passion-Dragon

yep last morning didn't put the bushman's on and just as the sun was rising i got savaged by those mongrels, arms mostly.
legs and feet all good, must have been the botanical / 80% deet bushman's from the day's before saved them but you don't think about that stuff at 5am
bug's where bad at sunrise/sunset

Just got back from 5 luvly days in the Cue area.
Flies were bad and the mosquito's drove us mad at night, I'm covered in little red lumps. and the flies are starting to eat the horse bum fly cream, ya gotta use it a couple times a day now.
as for gold, I only got one piddly little piece but Mr Gutfeeling killed it with his 5000 hooked up to the NF "Sadie".
I've got an idea what I'm doing next and it don't involve a 7000

Got my 2300 15 months ago -its paid for itself twice over now-and I dont travel to far to find it-those little blue beauties are a marvel-Dragon

One thing I cannot stand is Midge bites & over the years I have tried different things, But one year I cmae up trumps when I made Chilli Olive Oil..... I now carry it with me with some cotton buds.... just dab it on the bites and within 15 minutes..... gone....... Let me know if its the same for you if you try it.... patent pending of coarse... wink

Try roll on deodorant that is in a clear bottle and the deodorant is clear also, takes the sting out and you can get some rest, we use Nivea

Dettol and baby oil. 50/50 mix. Apply before you get destroyed by the little so and so's. I went into anaphylactic? shock from them once. Entire body was covered in little red lumps. I was that itchy I would have shot myself if could have concentrated on the job. Just burnt head to toe. Yeap, 2 days in hospital

I had a bottle stuffed with whole chilli dragon.... but for a quick fix .... maybe crushed chilli in a small jar of olive oil.... bearing in mind my brew had time to leach into the oil... good luck.... I feel for you...

i got some itch ease plus, only available online i believe. works a treat when me and the missus got bitten head to toe. it contains a local anesthetic so works immediately.
